Is life wearing you out? Are you feeling fried?
According to “Business Insider”, 11 of America’s favorite Top 25 foods are fried.
Think about this, how do you like your chicken? Raw? Steamed? Baked? or Fried? Who lingers over a batch of steamed chicken—inhaling the aroma? As Idella the maid in Driving Miss Daisy put it, “Fried chicken just tends to make you feel better about life.” Whether you order an egg sunny side up, over easy, or even scrambled, all will spend time on the griddle.
Many types of food, did not gain culinary popularity until they were fried; even “deep” fried. Seriously, does anyone eat raw French fries?
Yes, life is hard. Work is tiring. Trying to juggle all of the balls B4T requires is not for the faint of heart. Talk about a fried life; Luke tells us, "And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground." (Luke 22:44) Wow! Do you think He’s feeling fried. And we are called to be LIKE Him.
So if you are feeling fried, recognize that’s a good thing. It means you are giving your best—you are all in. You care. It’s good because He is adding flavor to your life and character so as to make you His spice of life.
But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ's triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. 2 Corinthians 2:14
